Location

In order for you to fully understand our hectare you will need to know where in the world it is located. This page will give you an understanding of where our 100m by 100m square is exactly.

The two maps to the right is a broad view of northern New England (top) as well as a map of the greater Burlington area (bottom). The red "A" is where Niquette Bay State Park is located.

The map to the right shows the shape and exact boundaries of Niquette Bay State Park. The park owns all the land shaded in green.

This final map shows where our specific hectare is within the park boundaries. As you can see we go right against the parks north western boundary.

Base Map
In Lab two we created a base map of our hectare specifically representing aspects such as where our soil pit was dug, locations of white pines, rock ledges, rock piles, trails, and fallen trees. Each box on the created base map represents 10x10m.
